Overview

Tanium is seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts to lead sales efforts in the SLED sector, focusing on Higher Education and Local Government. This role requires significant enterprise software sales experience and the ability to engage with C-suite executives.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record of success in enterprise software sales, particularly within the Higher Education and Local Government sectors in California. Your experience includes generating and closing large and complex software transactions with major clients, demonstrating your ability to navigate the intricacies of the sales cycle. You are comfortable engaging with various stakeholders, from CIOs and CISOs to operational teams, effectively articulating the value of technology solutions tailored to customer needs.

You excel in building and nurturing relationships within your assigned territory, ensuring a superior customer experience. Your ability to forecast accurately and maintain excellent sales pipeline hygiene is complemented by your experience in conducting webinars and presentations to generate qualified leads. You are based in California, preferably in Southern California, and are ready to travel as needed to meet clients and prospects.

Desirable

Experience with the Tanium platform or similar enterprise software solutions is a plus. Familiarity with sales development activities and pipeline management tools will enhance your effectiveness in this role. You are a strategic thinker who can collaborate with marketing and partner teams to define and support prospecting efforts.

What you'll do

As the Director of Strategic Accounts, you will be responsible for generating opportunities to position the Tanium platform within your assigned SLED territory and accounts. You will articulate the value of the Tanium platform to decision-makers and expertly manage the complex sales cycle. Your role will involve nurturing and developing relationships within your assigned territory, presenting the value of the Tanium platform to C-suite executives and other key stakeholders.

You will work closely with the Partner and Marketing teams to define and support prospecting and sales efforts, ensuring a healthy pipeline management process. Your responsibilities will include generating appropriate sales development activity and accurately forecasting sales while maintaining excellent SFDC hygiene. You will also conduct online webinars or in-person presentations to generate qualified leads, showcasing your expertise and the benefits of the Tanium platform.
