Tekion is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer I to join their Infrastructure team. You'll work on building a world-class observability platform using OpenTelemetry and automation tools. This entry-level position is based in Bengaluru, India.

Who you are

You are an energetic individual eager to start your career in Site Reliability Engineering. You have a passion for digging into data and automating repetitive tasks, ensuring systems communicate effectively through metrics and traces. You have a foundational understanding of OpenTelemetry and are keen to learn more about migrating from legacy systems to modern observability solutions. Your curiosity drives you to explore cutting-edge technologies, big data, machine learning, and AI, and you are motivated to help improve the automotive retail ecosystem.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the adoption of OpenTelemetry within the organization. You will assist in migrating from legacy agents to the OpenTelemetry Collector, tackling challenges such as standardizing log formats and implementing best practices for observability. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability of Tekion's cloud-native automotive platform, ensuring that developers can focus on building features without worrying about system stability.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers to build tools that enhance the reliability of the platform. This includes automating processes and creating metrics that provide insights into system performance. Your contributions will help shape the future of automotive retail technology, making it more efficient and user-friendly.
