Overview
Tempus is seeking a Director of Training to lead and manage training programs for Clinical Data Abstractors and Managers. You'll design and implement comprehensive training strategies to enhance skills and performance. This role requires strong leadership and program management experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a proven track record in training program management, ideally within the healthcare or clinical data sectors. Your experience includes designing and implementing training strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring that training materials are accurate and delivered on time. You possess strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with department leaders to meet business objectives. You are adept at assessing training needs and creating customized programs for various teams and roles, ensuring proficiency in new disease subtypes for quality and effectiveness.
You understand the importance of monitoring training effectiveness through performance metrics and feedback analysis. Your ability to manage and coordinate training schedules demonstrates your organizational skills and attention to detail. You are committed to maintaining the training infrastructure for the abstraction department and liaising with quality management to support remediation efforts. Your experience includes developing annual competency-based assessments for clinical data leadership, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
What you'll do
In this role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and management of comprehensive clinical abstraction training programs. You will collaborate with various teams across the organization to ensure that training initiatives align with business objectives. Your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day operations of training programs, processes, and workflows, ensuring that all training materials are up-to-date and relevant. You will develop learning and development strategies to enhance the skills and performance of clinical data abstractors and managers.
You will assess training needs and create customized programs tailored to different teams and roles, monitoring the effectiveness of these initiatives through performance metrics and feedback. Additionally, you will coordinate training schedules and manage the rollout of new abstraction or indication concepts as needed. Your role will also involve maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards regarding intellectual property and protected health information. You will be responsible for ensuring that all training programs meet the highest standards of quality and effectiveness, ultimately contributing to the success of the abstraction department and the organization as a whole.
