Job Description
Who you are
You hold an MS in Biological Sciences with at least three years of experience, or a BS with at least five years of experience in a laboratory setting. You have a deep understanding of molecular workflows and are committed to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance in laboratory operations. Your experience includes overseeing quality control and quality assurance programs, ensuring adherence to CLIA and CAP regulations, and mentoring junior staff to foster their professional growth. You are adept at balancing turnaround times while optimizing costs, and you understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality regarding intellectual property and protected health information.
What you'll do
As a Molecular Lab Supervisor, you will provide daily oversight of a cutting-edge molecular workflow, ensuring the delivery of high-quality next-generation sequencing data with rapid turnaround times. You will establish and maintain appropriate quality control and quality assurance programs, ensuring compliance with CLIA and CAP standards. Your responsibilities will include completing quality reviews of all samples within the NGS workflow, from extraction to sequencing, and scheduling training and competency assessments for personnel. You will collaborate closely with product, research, and business development teams to develop advanced sequencing platforms in cancer care, contributing to the advancement of precision medicine.
