Who you are
You have a Ph.D. in quantitative fields and extensive experience in bioinformatics, particularly in the context of cancer genomics. Your background includes a strong focus on translational cancer research, where you've developed algorithms and validated systems in clinical environments. You possess a deep understanding of scientific programming and clinical regulatory requirements for software systems, which allows you to navigate complex challenges effectively.
Your leadership experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS) pipeline development has equipped you with the skills to guide interdisciplinary teams. You excel in collaborating with scientists and clinicians to translate research into clinically actionable insights, ensuring that your team's work has a meaningful impact on patient care. You are detail-oriented, producing high-quality documentation for all projects, and you understand the importance of handling sensitive information in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design diagnostic software systems for Tempus medical devices, preparing and coordinating technical design and requirements analysis. You will lead an interdisciplinary group of scientists and engineers, collaborating closely with them to develop algorithms that provide insights into cancer variation through the analysis of next-generation sequencing data. Your responsibilities will also include communicating with outside scientific teams and product leadership to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
