Job Description
Who you are
You are a highly motivated bioinformatics scientist with a strong background in translational cancer research and clinical genomics. You have experience with scientific programming and relational data systems, and you are skilled in algorithms development and statistical modeling. Your expertise includes deploying bioinformatics code within a clinical setting, ensuring that you can contribute effectively to the design of diagnostic software systems for Tempus medical devices.
You hold a Ph.D. or M.S. in a quantitative scientific discipline and have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. You are comfortable managing companion diagnostic test design and development in collaboration with sponsors, and you excel at preparing and coordinating software system technical design and requirements analysis. Your ability to communicate effectively with outside scientific teams, as well as product and bioinformatics leadership, sets you apart.
What you'll do
In this role, you will contribute to designing diagnostic software systems that are crucial for Tempus medical devices. You will interface with biopharma partners to develop plans for investigational diagnostic testing, ensuring that the systems you design meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will manage the design and development of companion diagnostic tests, working closely with sponsors to align on project goals and timelines.
Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work alongside scientists and clinicians to design diagnostic tests in a regulated environment. Your role will also involve producing high-quality and detailed documentation for all projects, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned throughout the development process. You will be responsible for communicating complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences, making your communication skills essential for success in this position.
