You have a deep understanding of commercial law and the ability to balance legal expertise with commercial savvy — you thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoy interfacing with various stakeholders to solve complex legal issues. You are adept at negotiating, drafting, and managing commercial agreements, ensuring that the business can grow while appropriately managing legal risks. Your experience allows you to work cross-functionally with teams such as sales, business development, and product to provide expert legal advice on customer contracts and commercial transactions.
You are one of the first legal hires at Together AI, which gives you the unique opportunity to build and shape the legal function of a rapidly growing AI startup. You are comfortable leading negotiations and providing legal counsel that facilitates business growth while managing legal risks. You understand the importance of contract templates and are skilled at developing and refining them to streamline the contracting process.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the negotiation, drafting, and review of key customer contracts, working closely with the sales team to close revenue deals. You will also negotiate supplier contracts, debt financing agreements, and other types of commercial contracts. Your role will involve providing expert legal advice to internal stakeholders, ensuring that contracts align with the company's growth objectives while managing legal risks effectively. You will develop and refine contract templates to streamline the contracting process, making it easier for the business to operate efficiently.
You will be responsible for interfacing with various teams to ensure that legal considerations are integrated into business strategies. Your ability to communicate complex legal concepts in an understandable way will be crucial as you work with cross-functional teams to navigate legal challenges. You will play a key role in shaping the legal landscape of Together AI, contributing to the company's mission of enabling the rapid scaling of AI-driven products and businesses.
