You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in developing services within a microservice architecture. You understand the complexities of building scalable and resilient systems, and you have a track record of delivering high-quality code that meets business needs. You possess deep expertise in Java and Spring, having shipped numerous high-throughput APIs that handle significant traffic. Your experience includes engaging in the full software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment and monitoring. You are comfortable with refactoring code and maintaining it in optimal condition, always looking for opportunities to improve performance and reliability.

You thrive in agile environments, working in compact, autonomous teams with short release cycles. You value collaboration and are eager to learn from your colleagues while sharing your knowledge. You understand that mutual feedback is essential for growth, both personally and for the team.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure would be a plus, as would familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker. What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Trading212, you will take ownership of your code, ensuring it runs efficiently in a high-stakes environment where downtime and data loss are unacceptable. You will engage in forming requirements, designing implementations, coding, testing, deploying, and monitoring your solutions. Your role will involve collaborating closely with product managers and other engineers to deliver exceptional products that our clients love.

You will be responsible for developing solutions that prioritize performance, scale, and resilience. This means writing code that can handle significant loads while maintaining low latency and high availability. You will also participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to your peers and mentoring junior engineers to help them grow in their roles.
