Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and possess 3 to 10 years of experience in software development. Your expertise lies in C++ and Python, and you have a functional understanding of C++17/20 and modern CMake build systems. You are familiar with revision control systems, particularly Git, and can demonstrate your skills through significant personal projects if you have fewer than 3 years of professional experience.

You thrive in a collaborative environment where you can document user and client feedback effectively. You are adept at developing project issues in coordination with project leads, ensuring that the software you create meets system requirements while considering user/client feedback. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality are evident in your work.

Desirable

Experience with Matlab and Fortran is a plus, as is a background in aerospace or defense industries. You are a US Citizen and understand the importance of integrity and teamwork in delivering reliable software solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop C++ library features and Python bindings that implement system requirements. You will design, develop, document, test, and debug C++/Python software and systems, ensuring that they meet the needs of our clients. Your responsibilities will include developing functions, methods, and tests in support of C++ feature development, as well as collaborating with other developers to enhance the software's functionality.

You will be expected to document user and client feedback, which will guide your development process. Working closely with project leads, you will contribute to the overall success of the projects you are involved in, ensuring that the software is not only functional but also user-friendly. Your role will require you to stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in software development, allowing you to bring innovative solutions to the table.

What we offer

At Turion Space, we offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $190,000, depending on your experience and qualifications. You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, balancing remote work with on-site collaboration at our El Segundo client locations as required.
