Who you are
You have a strong background in statistical modeling and causal inference, with experience in developing and applying models to estimate the incremental impact of marketing across various channels. Your analytical skills are complemented by proficiency in SQL and Python, allowing you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively. You understand the importance of rigorous experimentation and are familiar with designing custom tests and analyzing results from complex experiments, including multi-cell and longitudinal tests. You are detail-oriented and capable of handling low-signal or sparse data, ensuring that your analyses are robust and reliable. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that your findings are actionable and aligned with business goals.
Desirable
Experience with advanced topics such as learning elasticity with experiments and analyzing event relationships is a plus. Familiarity with marketing measurement best practices will help you contribute to the team's goals more effectively. You are eager to stay updated on the latest research and methodologies in the field, continuously seeking to improve your skills and knowledge.
What you'll do
As an Applied Scientist on the incrementality foundations team, you will play a crucial role in building experiment forms, models, and processes that turn complex hypotheses into actionable incrementality signals. Your work will directly inform planning, forecasting, and investment decisions across Uber's Brand and Performance Marketing. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional Science teams to ensure that incrementality measurement is rigorous, scalable, and decision-ready. You will design and implement statistical and causal inference models, contributing to foundational modeling efforts such as hierarchical smoothing and aggregation across tests. Your insights will help shape smarter investment and decision-making systems, ultimately driving the success of Uber's marketing initiatives.
