Uber is hiring a Marketing Applied Scientist II to develop strategic insights and drive product strategy through experimentation and analysis. You'll work with SQL, Python, and R to support Uber's Rides and Eats business in New York.
Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Ph.D., M.S., or Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Machine Learning, Operations Research, or other quantitative fields, with a strong foundation in SQL, Python, and/or R. You have a minimum of 1+ years of industry experience if you have an M.S. degree, or 3+ years if you hold a Bachelor's degree, ideally as a Data Scientist or in a similar role. Your expertise includes knowledge of experimental design and analysis, particularly in advanced analytics, econometrics, and causal inference. You possess the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex topics clearly to diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop and lead careful statistical and econometric analyses to support Uber's business priorities, including designing, running, and evaluating large-scale marketing experiments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic insights and research tailored to their contexts. Presenting economic reasoning and analytical results to various audiences within Uber will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring that your insights drive product strategy effectively. You will work independently and conduct rigorous quantitative research with minimal oversight, contributing to the overall success of the Marketing Science team.
