Overview
Unity is hiring a Network Operations Analyst to enhance network reliability across its products. You'll monitor performance metrics and implement monitoring tools using Grafana, Kafka, and Looker. This role requires a proven track record in translating telemetry into actionable insights.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a proven track record translating complex telemetry into clear, decision-ready insights — your analytical skills enable you to identify and surface meaningful anomalies in network performance metrics. You are experienced in implementing monitoring dashboards in Looker and Grafana, and you have the ability to query streaming data platforms like Kafka effectively. Your calm and thoughtful approach to incident response ensures that you can coordinate with multi-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
You thrive in environments where you can collaborate closely with cross-functional teams — your experience working with Network Insights BI has equipped you with the skills to design and implement monitoring tooling and automated alerting that scales. You are detail-oriented and can publish concise, accurate daily and weekly network health reports that inform key decision makers, ensuring that network performance remains optimal.
You are a forward thinker who loves to build, learn, and persevere through complex challenges — your passion for network health reporting drives you to elevate the standards of performance measurement across products. You understand the importance of clear communication and can articulate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Desirable
Experience with incident management and post-incident analysis is a plus — you understand the significance of quantifying impact and learning from incidents to improve future performance. Familiarity with additional monitoring tools and data visualization techniques will enhance your ability to contribute to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will monitor daily network performance metrics across all products and surface meaningful anomalies using tools like Looker, Imply, Kafka, and Grafana. You will track ecosystem partnership signal health and escalate deviations with clear, timely insights to ensure that network performance is maintained at a high standard. Your collaboration with Network Insights BI will be crucial as you design and implement monitoring tooling and automated alerting that scales with the organization’s needs.
You will initiate workstreams for incidents and fix issues by coordinating with multi-functional BI teams — your ability to support post-incident analysis and impact quantification will be essential in driving improvements in network reliability. You will publish concise, accurate daily and weekly network health reports that inform key decision makers, ensuring that they have the insights needed to make informed decisions about network performance.
Your role will also involve transforming real-time signals into clear insights — you will be responsible for ensuring healthy network performance and enabling key decision makers with transparent reporting. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you work to elevate network health reporting to new heights, contributing to the overall success of Unity’s products and ecosystem.
What we offer
Unity offers a competitive salary range of $70,400—$105,600 USD, reflecting the value of your expertise and contributions. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where your insights and recommendations will directly impact the organization’s network reliability. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds in our team.
