Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in legal counsel, particularly in the realm of AI governance and privacy regulations. Your background includes a deep understanding of international AI laws and the ability to navigate complex legal frameworks. You excel in collaboration, working closely with product, security, legal, and engineering teams to ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulations.
You are adept at policy development and have a proven track record of leading governance initiatives. Your skills include the ability to streamline assessments and propose innovative solutions that enhance AI governance. You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to manage AI incident response effectively and align processes with existing policies.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead AI Program Governance and Policy, determining the applicability of international AI laws and establishing ethical standards for AI development. You will streamline assessments related to privacy, safety, and AI, proposing AI-enabled tooling to reduce effort. Your responsibilities will include managing AI incident response processes, ensuring they incorporate AI-specific triggers and regulatory reporting lines.
You will oversee AI Risk Management, maintaining the AI Risk Management Policy and defining a standard risk taxonomy. Additionally, you will advise on adapting security and compliance programs to meet AI-specific legal obligations, collaborating with technical teams to ensure models meet defined accuracy metrics and compliance standards. You will also implement quality management and monitoring protocols for AI design, testing, validation, and post-market monitoring.
What we offer
Unity offers a competitive salary range of $200,000—$250,000 USD, reflecting the importance of this role within the organization.
