Overview

Unity is hiring a Senior Technical Artist to develop games and production tools while optimizing assets and workflows. You'll work closely with customer teams and internal development to enhance game production. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of real-time content creation.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a comprehensive knowledge of real-time content creation fundamentals — you've developed and optimized assets such as particle systems and shaders, ensuring artistic vision aligns with technical limits. Your experience with the Unity platform allows you to effectively integrate and maintain production workflows and pipelines, aiding artists in creating high-quality content.

You excel in problem-solving and communication — you can efficiently educate clients and provide feedback on Unity technology and services. Your ability to build close relationships with both external customer teams and Unity's internal development teams is key to your success in this role. You proactively train yourself to stay at the forefront of Unity Engine technology and game content creation.

What you'll do

In this role, you will become embedded with external customer teams to develop games and game production tools, ensuring that production workflows are efficient and effective. You will produce, integrate, and optimize assets into customer games, balancing artistic vision with technical constraints. Your responsibilities will include visiting customers for consultations, providing advice on improving existing content and pipelines, and collaborating with Unity's internal teams to verify production processes and future features.

You will also be tasked with developing and maintaining production workflows by writing scripts and tools that assist artists in their creative processes. Your role is crucial in helping customers resolve challenging technical problems while enhancing their projects and internal workflows. You will be expected to communicate effectively with clients, both remotely and on-site, to ensure their needs are met and to foster a collaborative environment.

What we offer

Unity provides a dynamic work environment where you can grow your skills and contribute to exciting projects in the gaming industry. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of Software Developers and Technical Artists who share your passion for game development. Unity values innovation and encourages you to explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance your work.

As part of the Unity team, you will be at the forefront of game development technology, working on projects that push the boundaries of what is possible in real-time content creation. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your enthusiasm and willingness to learn are just as important as your technical skills.
