What you'll do

As the Senior Engineering Manager for Marketplace Optimization at Upstart, you will lead a team responsible for developing dynamic policy levers and monetization tooling that optimize market outcomes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that engineering efforts align with business objectives and enhance the overall lending experience for customers.

You will be responsible for mentoring and developing your team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Your role will involve setting clear goals and expectations, conducting regular performance reviews, and providing constructive feedback to help your team grow.

In addition, you will oversee the implementation of automated, data-driven decisions that improve originations and contribution margins. You will work closely with product managers and data scientists to ensure that engineering solutions are aligned with market needs and customer expectations.
