Desirable

Experience with incident management and response, including post-mortem analysis and root cause identification, is a plus. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices will help you excel in this role. You are comfortable working with various cloud platforms and have a solid understanding of networking and security principles.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define and implement the SRE function at Upvest, establishing reliability standards that align with the company's growth objectives. You will work closely with engineering teams to design and optimize systems for scalability and resilience. Your responsibilities will include developing monitoring and alerting strategies to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact users.

You will lead incident response efforts, ensuring that incidents are resolved quickly and effectively while minimizing downtime. By conducting thorough post-incident reviews, you will help the team learn from failures and continuously improve processes. You will also mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with product and engineering teams to ensure that reliability is a priority throughout the development lifecycle. You will advocate for best practices in system design and operational excellence, helping to shape the future of Upvest's technology stack.
