You have 5+ years of software development experience in distributed systems, with a strong operational responsibility for mission-critical services. Your expertise in Python or Rust allows you to build robust backend systems that ensure scalability and fault tolerance. You possess deep knowledge of AWS, including serverless architectures, and have hands-on experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB. Your understanding of CI/CD pipelines and best practices in testing and quality control makes you a valuable asset to any engineering team.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and implement a cloud-based, fully managed data plane at the core of Vendia’s real-time distributed data platform. You will build solutions that enable enterprises to integrate multi-modal data at scale, ensuring that the systems you create are efficient and reliable. Your responsibilities will include implementing best practices such as automation, CI/CD workflows, and performance optimization to enhance the overall quality of the platform.

You will collaborate closely with leadership to balance the introduction of new features with the demands of rapid customer growth. Your influence will extend to shaping the technical direction of Vendia’s offerings, ensuring that they meet the needs of enterprise users managing vast amounts of operational data in real time. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of learning within the team.
