You are pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, eager to apply your knowledge in a practical setting. You have a strong interest in hardware design and development, particularly in the context of IoT products. You are ready to collaborate with experienced engineers and learn from their expertise, contributing to real-world projects that impact safety and efficiency. You are detail-oriented and enjoy problem-solving, particularly when it comes to designing and debugging hardware systems. You are available for a full-time summer co-op and are excited about the opportunity to make a significant impact during your internship.
What you'll do
As a Hardware Engineering Intern at Verkada, you will partner with experienced engineers to design, debug, and validate hardware products. You will engage in the design and execution of experiments to test new circuit concepts, gaining hands-on experience in the hardware development process. Your responsibilities will include schematic capture and layout for systems and/or test boards, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge in a practical environment. You will also learn to work with manufacturing partners to drive ongoing improvements to efficiency, contributing to the overall success of the hardware engineering team. This role will provide you with valuable insights into the lifecycle of hardware products from prototype to mass production.
