You have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in product design and development for hardware products. Your expertise includes generating mechanical solutions that meet diverse product requirements, such as environmental resistance and thermal management. You are skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly with electrical engineers and industrial designers, to integrate various components into cohesive designs. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about bringing innovative products to market.
Desirable
Experience with enterprise IoT products is a plus, as is familiarity with prototyping and mass production processes. You have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality, ensuring that all designs meet rigorous standards. Your ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders enhances collaboration and drives project success.
What you'll do
As a Product Design Mechanical Engineer at Verkada, you will drive new products from initial proof of concept through to mass production. You will generate mechanical solutions for a wide variety of product requirements relevant to enterprise hardware, including mounting, sealing, and tamper resistance. Collaborating closely with the Electrical Engineering team, you will integrate PCBAs, sensors, and other electro-mechanical elements into your designs. You will also work with the Industrial Design team to explore and prototype new product concepts, ensuring that all aspects of the mechanical design are optimized for performance and manufacturability.
