Verkor is seeking a Commodity Buyer to manage Capex Industrial Components and Real Estate Construction Project activities. You'll ensure reliable and cost-effective solutions for internal customers. This role requires experience in project sourcing and procurement.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in procurement and project sourcing, ideally with experience in industrial components and construction projects. Your ability to manage budgets exceeding 100 million euros demonstrates your capability to handle significant financial responsibilities. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent negotiation skills, ensuring that you secure the best solutions for your internal customers.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with manufacturing and construction teams to align sourcing strategies with operational needs. Your understanding of the low-carbon battery manufacturing sector is a plus, as it allows you to contribute effectively to Verkor's mission of electrifying European mobility.
What you'll do
As a Commodity Buyer at Verkor, you will be responsible for managing the sourcing of industrial components and overseeing real estate construction projects. You will work closely with various internal stakeholders to identify their needs and ensure that the procurement process aligns with the company's strategic goals. Your role will involve negotiating contracts and establishing relationships with suppliers to secure the best pricing and service levels.
You will also monitor market trends and supplier performance, making recommendations for improvements where necessary. Your analytical skills will be crucial in assessing supplier capabilities and ensuring compliance with Verkor's standards. You will play a key role in supporting the development of the Verkor Innovation Center and the Gigafactory in Dunkirk, contributing to the company's ambitious production goals.
