You are passionate about creating safe and engaging environments for users, and you have experience in trust and safety measures that protect user interactions.

What you'll do

As the Director of Product, Algorithms & Personalization, you will lead the end-to-end strategy for matchmaking, discovery, and trust & safety algorithms at VRChat. You will work closely with the ML/Engineering and Data Science teams to design and implement systems that enhance user connections and experiences. Your role will involve defining product roadmaps, prioritizing features, and ensuring that the algorithms align with VRChat's mission of enriching social connections.

You will be responsible for driving the development of algorithms that help users find friends and discover engaging content within the platform. This includes overseeing the ranking and recommendation systems that guide users to worlds, groups, and events that foster community and belonging. Additionally, you will implement models that detect and mitigate predatory and toxic behavior, ensuring a safe environment for all users.

Your position will require regular updates to senior leadership and collaboration with various departments, including Trust & Safety, Policy, Legal, and Operations. You will be instrumental in balancing user experience with platform integrity and privacy considerations, making strategic decisions that impact the overall direction of VRChat's product offerings.
