Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in AI and machine learning, particularly in neural rendering and generative AI. Your experience includes designing and implementing multi-sensor simulation systems, and you are comfortable working with real-world data from cameras, LiDAR, and RADAR. You possess solid software engineering fundamentals, writing efficient and maintainable code in Python and PyTorch, as well as in at least one native systems language such as C++ or Rust.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside multidisciplinary teams of research scientists and engineers. Your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively makes you a valuable team member. You are passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology and are eager to contribute original, high-impact ideas that can transform the field of autonomous driving.
Desirable
Experience with cloud machine learning and debugging GPU jobs in the cloud is a plus. Familiarity with cutting-edge techniques in reconstruction and neural rendering will set you apart. You are also open to exploring new paradigms and understanding the trade-offs involved in different approaches.
What you'll do
As a Research Engineer in Neural Rendering at Waabi, you will be at the forefront of developing next-generation simulation software that integrates traditional real-time rendering with advanced techniques like NeRF, 3D Gaussian Splatting, and diffusion models. You will work closely with a team of experts to build a best-in-class multi-sensor simulation stack that enhances the capabilities of self-driving technology.
Your responsibilities will include creating large-scale, efficient digital twins from real-world data, ensuring that the rendering systems you develop are practical and scalable. You will engage in rigorous experimental validation of your ideas, collaborating with your team to refine and improve the rendering processes.
You will also be involved in exploring the limitations of current methods and analyzing the trade-offs between different rendering paradigms. Your insights will help shape the direction of Waabi's technology and contribute to the commercialization of self-driving solutions.
