Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and possess 1-3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a public accounting or high-growth company setting. You have a strong understanding of US GAAP and are detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Your excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset enable you to work effectively with various teams.
Desirable
You may hold a CPA or be CPA-eligible, and have experience in a technology, SaaS, or startup environment. Exposure to audits, SOX, or internal controls is a plus, as is familiarity with AP tools, expense systems, or close management software.
What you'll do
In this role, you will prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and reclassifications. You will perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate variances, supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable will be part of your responsibilities, including invoice review, coding, and payment processing. You will also support payroll accounting and related reconciliations, maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations, and assist with audit preparation, including supporting schedules and documentation.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with FP&A, HR, purchasing, and other teams to support reporting and operational needs. You will participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements, contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department.
