Who you are
You have a strong understanding of US GAAP and proven experience in scaling processes — you excel at building strong relationships with cross-functional partners and are adept at identifying gaps and opportunities for process improvement. Your expertise in accounting policies and internal controls drives efficiency and accuracy in compliance with US GAAP. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with diverse teams to achieve common goals.
You have experience in fixed assets and intercompany accounting, which allows you to understand end-to-end workflows effectively. Your analytical skills enable you to support the monthly financial close, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of financial results for management reporting. You are proactive in enhancing systems and automating workflows to improve data quality.
What you'll do
As an Accountant at Netflix, you will design and maintain accounting policies and procedures that ensure compliance with US GAAP. You will support the monthly financial close process, preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations. Your role will involve partnering with Financial Applications and Finance Engineering teams to enhance systems and automate workflows, ensuring data quality is maintained.
You will develop strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders, including FP&A, Project Controls, FPO, Tax, and FinTech, representing Operations Accounting in cross-functional initiatives and system implementations. Your responsibilities will also include identifying opportunities for process improvement and celebrating diversity within the team, recognizing that diverse teams build stronger outcomes.
