What you'll do
In this role, you will develop novel metrics and sampling techniques to measure the driving trajectories generated by machine learning models. You will employ creative simulation strategies to assess the driving performance of generative AI models, identifying potential edge cases that could impact safety and performance. Your work will directly inform the evaluation processes for the Waymo Driver, ensuring that our AI systems are reliable and effective in real-world conditions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to share insights and drive improvements in our evaluation methodologies. You will also contribute to the research and development of new approaches to model assessment, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in autonomous driving technology.
What we offer
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $238,000 to $302,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
