You thrive in a hybrid role, balancing technical responsibilities with team collaboration, and you are eager to contribute to the development of innovative autonomous driving technologies.
Desirable
Experience with automotive systems and a background in user interface design for mobile applications would be advantageous. What you'll do
As a Senior Android Platform Engineer at Waymo, you will be responsible for the bring-up and maintenance of a complete automotive-grade Android system. You will evaluate and integrate SoC vendor development kits, ensuring that the Android platform meets the high standards required for autonomous driving applications. Your role will involve developing update mechanisms for both the Android OS and applications, enhancing the overall user experience for riders. You will work closely with vendors, hardware teams, and other stakeholders to define and refine requirements for the next generation of user experience platforms. Additionally, you will provide technical support to other teams, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across various systems.
What we offer
Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $216,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
