What you'll do

In this role, you will define and own the long-term industrial design vision and strategy for Waymo's products. You will work closely with the Head of Industrial Design to develop a cohesive design language that reflects Waymo's mission and values. Your responsibilities will include conducting user research to understand rider needs and preferences, translating insights into design concepts that enhance the overall user experience. You will lead design reviews and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that design intent is maintained throughout the product development process.

You will also be involved in creating prototypes and conducting usability testing to validate design solutions. Your ability to iterate based on feedback will be crucial in refining designs and ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety. As a senior member of the team, you will mentor junior designers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their growth and development.
