What you'll do
As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Waymo, you will be integral to the Simulator team, focusing on building simulations that enhance the Waymo Driver's capabilities. You will leverage your machine learning expertise to create realistic models of agents, roads, and traffic systems, ensuring that the simulations are as close to real-world scenarios as possible. You will collaborate with teams in Mountain View and Oxford to develop and integrate large foundation models into various evaluation and training products. Your role will involve setting up and rolling out multiple scenarios to test the Waymo Driver, contributing to the safety and efficiency of autonomous driving technology. You will also be responsible for analyzing the performance of the simulations and iterating on the models to improve their accuracy and reliability.
