Who you are

You have a strong background in machine learning and simulation, with at least 5 years of experience in developing and deploying machine learning models. Your expertise in Python allows you to build robust algorithms that can model complex real-world scenarios. You are familiar with large datasets and understand how to leverage them to improve model performance and simulation fidelity. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems. Your experience with TensorFlow and PyTorch enables you to implement cutting-edge techniques in your projects. You are passionate about autonomous driving technology and are eager to contribute to a mission that aims to save lives through innovation.

Desirable

Experience with large foundation models and their application in simulation environments is a plus. Familiarity with autonomous systems and their testing methodologies will help you excel in this role. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your work and the team's output.

What you'll do

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Waymo, you will be part of a world-class research team focused on building simulations that accurately reflect real-world driving conditions. You will work closely with engineers and researchers to develop machine learning models that simulate realistic agents, including vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. Your role will involve designing experiments to test and validate these models, ensuring they perform well under various scenarios.
