Who you are

You have a strong background in machine learning and data analysis, with experience in developing and optimizing models for real-world applications. You are proficient in Python and have hands-on experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow and Keras. Your familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS allows you to efficiently deploy and manage machine learning models at scale. You understand the complexities of working with large datasets and have experience in data preprocessing and feature engineering. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems. You are passionate about autonomous driving technology and are eager to contribute to innovative solutions that enhance safety and mobility.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop methods for efficiently learning from large-scale real-world data, focusing on optimizing models for both onboard and offboard hardware. You will collaborate with the Perception team to integrate your models into the Waymo Driver, ensuring they perform effectively in real-world scenarios. You will analyze real-world behavior to understand the complexities of interacting with the environment and develop systems that can handle these challenges. Your work will involve conducting research to address real-world problems and collaborating with research teams at Alphabet to push the boundaries of autonomous driving technology. You will also be responsible for monitoring model performance and iterating on your designs based on feedback and data analysis.

What we offer

Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 to $216,000 USD, along with participation in an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
