Who you are
You have a strong background in machine learning and data systems, with experience in developing and optimizing models for real-world applications. You are proficient in Python and have hands-on experience with frameworks like TensorFlow and Keras, enabling you to build and train complex models effectively. Your familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, allows you to deploy and scale machine learning solutions efficiently. You understand the importance of data quality and have experience working with large datasets, ensuring that your models are trained on reliable and relevant information. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and drive innovation in autonomous driving technology.
Desirable
Experience with Docker for containerization and orchestration of machine learning applications is a plus. Familiarity with SQL for data manipulation and querying will enhance your ability to work with large datasets effectively. You are also encouraged to bring any experience you have with real-time data processing and analysis, as this will be beneficial in optimizing the Waymo Driver's performance.
What you'll do
As a Machine Learning Engineer at Waymo, you will be responsible for developing methods to efficiently learn from large-scale real-world data. You will work closely with the Perception team to build systems that can accurately perceive the environment around the autonomous vehicle. Your role will involve analyzing real-world behavior and developing models that can handle the complexities of interacting with dynamic environments. You will collaborate with research teams at Alphabet to address real-world challenges and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Waymo Driver. Additionally, you will optimize models for both onboard and offboard hardware, ensuring that they perform effectively in various scenarios.
