What you'll do
As a Software Engineer on the Sensor/Imaging team, you will work closely with hardware engineers and other software developers to design and implement software solutions that enhance the Waymo Driver's capabilities — your role will involve developing and optimizing algorithms for sensor data processing, ensuring high-quality outputs for autonomous driving applications. You will be responsible for executing detailed image quality test plans, analyzing results, and iterating on designs based on feedback and performance metrics.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new sensor technologies into the Waymo Driver, contributing to the overall mission of improving mobility and safety on the roads. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of autonomous systems, as you help refine the software that powers these advanced technologies. What we offer
