Waymo is hiring a Strategy and Operations Lead for their Risk & Insurance team to evaluate and manage risks associated with autonomous driving technology. You'll collaborate with various teams to drive business lines forward and ensure appropriate risk frameworks are in place.

You have a strong background in strategy and operations, ideally with experience in risk management or insurance. Your analytical skills allow you to evaluate complex risks and trends in the autonomous driving sector, and you possess a deep understanding of the insurance landscape. You are a collaborative team player who can work effectively with legal, public policy, and technical teams to ensure comprehensive risk assessments. You have excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders. Your experience in the tech industry, particularly in emerging technologies, gives you a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities in the field. You are proactive and detail-oriented, always looking for ways to improve processes and frameworks to better support the company's mission.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead efforts to evaluate and manage risks associated with Waymo's autonomous driving technology. You will collaborate with legal, public policy, safety, security, and privacy experts to assess insurance trends and product liability. Your work will involve advising on emerging risks and developing frameworks to protect users and the company. You will partner with business development and product teams to execute strategic plans that align with the company's goals. Additionally, you will analyze data and trends to inform decision-making and ensure the company's interests are safeguarded against existing and new risks. You will also play a key role in driving the company's business lines forward from ideation to commercial deployment, ensuring that all operations are aligned with Waymo's mission of improving mobility and safety.

Waymo offers a competitive salary range of $158,000—$200,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
