You are adept at developing and implementing KPIs and metrics to monitor business outcomes, ensuring that your initiatives align with long-term objectives. Your technical expertise spans multiple programming languages, including Java and Python, and you have a proven track record of optimizing complex systems for better performance.

You thrive in collaborative environments where you can work closely with stakeholders to build joint roadmaps — your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical partners is a key strength. You are a trusted decision-maker, capable of navigating challenging situations and providing leadership in high-stakes scenarios. Your analytical mindset allows you to identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives that enhance overall system efficiency.

Desirable

Experience in autonomous systems or simulation technologies would be a plus, as would familiarity with cloud infrastructure and data analytics tools. You are passionate about leveraging technology to improve safety and efficiency in autonomous driving, and you are eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization.

You will work with various teams across Waymo to establish top-level performance and efficiency KPIs, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement. Your role will involve influencing partners and stakeholders to build joint roadmaps that support the overall mission of the company.

You will be responsible for setting the technical direction for simulation projects, making critical decisions that impact the development of the Waymo Driver. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating current systems and proposing innovative solutions that enhance performance. You will also mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within your team.
