What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of the Semantics team within Waymo's Perception organization, focusing on developing advanced machine learning models that enhance the Waymo Driver's ability to understand and navigate complex environments. You will collaborate with other engineers and data scientists to design, implement, and optimize algorithms that interpret the behavior of vulnerable road users and traffic controls.
You will engage in end-to-end model development, from data collection and preprocessing to model training and deployment. Your work will directly contribute to improving the safety and efficiency of autonomous driving systems, impacting millions of riders.
You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the team's best practices, ensuring high-quality software delivery. Additionally, you will have opportunities to mentor junior engineers and share your expertise in machine learning and software development.

Waymo provides a competitive salary range of $204,000—$259,000 USD, along with eligibility for an annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
