What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Driver Validation team, you will help build and evolve the horizontal infrastructure that underpins Waymo's commercialization systems. You will collaborate with other engineering teams to develop systems that enhance the core ride-hailing and fleet management systems. Your role will involve designing and implementing solutions that are not only effective but also scalable and maintainable.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, product, legal, partnerships, and policy & privacy, to ensure that the systems you develop meet the diverse needs of the organization. Your contributions will be critical in delivering business-critical infrastructure that supports Waymo's mission to improve access to mobility and enhance safety on the roads.
In this hybrid role, you will report to an Engineering Manager and participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. You will also engage in code reviews and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team, ensuring that best practices are followed and that the team continues to grow and evolve.
