Your experience includes translating and proofreading patents, particularly in the fields of Electricity, Computer Science, and Mechanics. You possess a strong understanding of the nuances involved in patent language and terminology, ensuring accuracy and clarity in your translations. Your attention to detail is exceptional, allowing you to catch errors and inconsistencies that others might overlook. You are comfortable working with CAT tools, specifically XTM, to enhance your translation efficiency and maintain consistency across projects. You thrive in a freelance environment, managing your time effectively to meet project deadlines while delivering high-quality work.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for translating patents from English into French, ensuring that the translations are accurate and adhere to the specific terminology used in the patent field. You will also review and proofread translations to ensure they meet the high standards expected by Welocalize and its clients. Your work will involve collaborating with project managers to understand project requirements and timelines, allowing you to deliver translations that meet client expectations. You will handle a weighted volume of 2000-5000 words per week, demonstrating your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality. Your expertise in the subject matter will enable you to provide insights and suggestions for improving translation processes and workflows.
