Welocalize is seeking a French (France) Translation Quality Rater to review and refine customer service content. You'll ensure the accuracy and natural language of machine-translated materials. This role requires experience in language quality assessment.

Who you are
You are an experienced language professional with a strong background in translation and quality assessment. You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring that translated content meets high standards of accuracy and fluency. Your familiarity with machine translation and its nuances allows you to effectively evaluate and improve the quality of translated materials. You are comfortable working with style guides and terminology requirements, ensuring that all content aligns with project guidelines. You are proactive in identifying recurring quality issues and trends, contributing to the overall improvement of machine translation outputs.
What you'll do
In this role, you will edit and review machine-translated customer service content, ensuring a high level of accuracy and consistency. You will evaluate the quality of machine translation outputs and apply severity ratings as required, following specific project guidelines. Your responsibilities will also include producing high-quality human translations that serve as reference data for model training and quality evaluation. You will follow provided style guides, tone rules, and terminology requirements to maintain consistency across all content. Additionally, you will identify and report recurring quality issues and batch-level trends to help improve the machine translation process.
What we offer
This position offers an hourly rate of $27.23, with work assigned on an ad hoc basis throughout the year depending on client needs. The project is ongoing, providing flexibility in your work schedule.
