Welocalize is seeking a German Translation Quality Rater to review and refine customer service content. You'll improve machine-translated materials for accuracy and alignment with project guidelines. This role requires experience in language quality assessment.

Who you are

You are an experienced language professional with a strong background in translation and quality assessment. You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring that translated content meets high standards of accuracy and natural language flow. Your familiarity with machine translation systems allows you to effectively evaluate and improve machine-generated outputs. You are comfortable working with style guides and terminology requirements, ensuring consistency across all content. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to report recurring quality issues and trends effectively. You are adaptable and can manage intermittent work, responding to client needs as they arise.

What you'll do

In this role, you will edit and review machine-translated customer service content, ensuring a high level of accuracy and consistency. You will evaluate the quality of machine translation outputs and apply severity ratings as required, following project guidelines. Your work will involve producing high-quality human translations that serve as reference data for model training and quality evaluation. You will follow provided style guides, tone rules, and terminology requirements to maintain consistency across all materials. Additionally, you will identify and report recurring quality issues and batch-level trends to help improve the overall quality of the machine translation system. This position requires you to be proactive and detail-oriented, as you will be working on an ongoing project with varying volumes and timing throughout the year.
