Who you are
You have a strong background in manufacturing engineering with a focus on new product introductions — your experience includes developing and troubleshooting manufacturing processes that ensure high quality and efficiency. You are skilled in DFX, process design, and fixture development, and you have a keen interest in supporting build execution in factory environments. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with Mechanical, Electrical, and Supply Chain teams, as well as external manufacturing partners.
You thrive in environments where you can apply your technical expertise to optimize manufacturing processes — you understand the importance of scalability and automation in production. Your problem-solving skills enable you to address challenges that arise during prototype and pre-production builds, ensuring that products are manufacturable and cost-effective.
What you'll do
As a Manufacturing Engineer II on the NPI team at WHOOP, you will be responsible for developing and troubleshooting manufacturing processes from early development through mass production. You will support prototype and pre-production builds, including EVT, DVT, and PVT phases, ensuring that all processes meet high standards of quality and efficiency. You will partner closely with Mechanical, Electrical, and Supply Chain teams to provide DFX feedback and drive designs that are optimized for performance, cost, and speed at high volume.
Your role will involve collaborating with external manufacturing teams to ensure that all processes are scalable and efficient. You will be tasked with validating manufacturing processes and ensuring that they align with WHOOP's mission to unlock human performance and healthspan. You will also play a key role in identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions that enhance production capabilities.
