Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in hardware quality engineering, particularly in new product introduction (NPI) processes. Your expertise includes conducting Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and ensuring products meet critical quality standards. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with hardware engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to deliver high-quality products.
Your strong analytical skills enable you to identify potential quality issues early in the product development cycle. You are adept at engaging with both internal and external partners to gather insights and feedback, ensuring that all quality requirements are met. You possess a keen attention to detail and a commitment to excellence, which drives you to continuously improve processes and outcomes.
What you'll do
As a Senior Hardware Quality Engineer (NPI) at WHOOP, you will play a crucial role in the development of new products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards. Your responsibilities will include leading quality assessments, conducting DFMEA, and developing critical to quality (CTQ) metrics that guide product development.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining quality documentation, including test plans and reports, to ensure compliance with industry standards. Engaging with suppliers and partners, you will facilitate quality audits and assessments to ensure that external components meet WHOOP's quality expectations. Your role will also involve training and mentoring junior engineers in quality assurance practices, fostering a culture of quality within the team.
