What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager for the Wikidata Platform team, you will lead the development and execution of the Wikidata Query Service and related platform services. Your role will involve overseeing the engineering delivery process, ensuring that projects are completed to a high standard and in alignment with the Wikimedia Foundation's goals. You will work closely with product and tech leads to shape the future of Wikidata's query capabilities, ensuring they meet the needs of millions of users and contributors worldwide.

You will be responsible for fostering an inclusive engineering culture, promoting collaboration and innovation within your team. This includes conducting regular one-on-ones with team members, providing feedback, and supporting their professional development. You will also engage in strategic planning, helping to define the roadmap for the Wikidata Platform and ensuring that engineering efforts are aligned with organizational priorities.
