What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager for the Wikidata Platform team, you will lead the development and execution of the Wikidata Query Service and related platform services. Your role will involve guiding your team in delivering scalable, reliable, and sustainable query infrastructure that meets the needs of millions of users and contributors worldwide. You will be responsible for addressing diverse challenges and ensuring timely, high-quality engineering delivery.

You will collaborate closely with your Product and Tech Lead counterparts to shape the future of Wikidata's query capabilities. This includes fostering an inclusive engineering culture and supporting your team's professional growth through mentorship and career development initiatives. You will also engage in strategic planning to align engineering efforts with the Wikimedia Foundation's mission and goals.
