Who you are
You are an experienced engineer with a strong background in aerospace and defense, possessing a unique blend of technical expertise and customer engagement skills. You have a proven track record of supporting sales efforts and driving account growth through effective communication and project management. Your enthusiasm for the aerospace industry is evident, and you thrive in customer-facing roles where you can leverage your engineering knowledge to solve complex challenges.
You have experience working closely with sales teams, providing valuable insights and feedback from the engineering and manufacturing community. Your ability to proactively identify and address potential manufacturing challenges, including Design for Manufacturing (DFM), sets you apart as a key contributor to the success of the team. You are comfortable engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and aligning solutions to meet their project requirements.
What you'll do
In this role, you will partner with Account Executives to drive account growth and retention, ensuring that customer projects are executed smoothly and efficiently. You will join Account Executives on onsite visits with customers when appropriate, providing technical insights and support during these engagements. Your responsibilities will include discovering, illuminating, digesting, organizing, and executing major projects that align with customer needs and expectations.
You will stay informed about upcoming customer projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with Xometry's capabilities and resources. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to address customer inquiries and challenges, leveraging your engineering expertise to provide effective solutions. You will play a critical role in enhancing customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships with key accounts.
