Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering, and bring over 5 years of experience in structural design. Your organizational skills are excellent, and you have a strong aptitude for interpreting specifications and project requirements. You are familiar with various design codes and have experience in optimizing structural designs for efficiency and safety.

Your expertise includes pressure vessel design according to ASME standards, and you have a solid understanding of wind and seismic codes. You are proficient in finite element analysis (FEA) and pipe stress analysis, ensuring that your designs meet rigorous safety and performance standards. Additionally, you are skilled in using drafting software such as AutoCAD 3D and SolidWorks, which allows you to create detailed and accurate designs.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the structural and mechanical design of various combustion equipment, including pressure vessels, stacks, and piping systems. You will review project specifications to determine applicable design codes and project requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your calculations and design reports will be critical for submission to customers for approval, and you will estimate steel thickness and weights to optimize your designs.

You will collaborate with other engineers and management to tackle related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of projects. Your ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients will be essential as you navigate complex design challenges and provide innovative solutions. You will also have opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
