Who you are

You have over 5 years of drafting and design experience, with a strong background in mechanical drafting. Your expertise in using CAD software allows you to create detailed designs and drawings that meet project specifications. You possess an Associate's Degree in Drafting or a related field, which has equipped you with the foundational knowledge necessary for this role. Your ability to analyze mechanical specifications and requirements ensures that you can design appropriate equipment for various applications. You are proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, which aids in your documentation and communication tasks.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with engineers to confirm equipment selection and design. Your attention to detail ensures that all drawings are completed accurately and meet project requirements. You are comfortable making arithmetic computations and following verbal instructions to revise existing drawings as needed. Your experience includes assisting project engineers during shop visits, providing guidance for the production of equipment, and ensuring that design changes are implemented effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will utilize your CAD skills to design various projects for Zeeco’s Burners Department. You will analyze project mechanical specifications and requirements to create detailed equipment designs. Collaborating with the engineering team, you will confirm equipment selection and assist in ensuring that all required drawings are completed on time. You will be responsible for making simple revisions to existing drawings based on verbal explanations from project engineers or supervisors. Your role will also involve visiting the shop to assist with design changes and providing guidelines for production personnel.

You will be expected to maintain clear communication with your team and contribute to the overall success of projects by ensuring that all designs meet the necessary specifications. Your proficiency in Microsoft Office will be essential for documenting your work and collaborating with team members. You will perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the design process.
