Who you are

You have a background in engineering or technology, ideally with an Associate or Bachelor's degree related to Instrumentation, Electrical, or similar fields. With 2+ years of design and drafting experience, you are well-versed in electrical systems, instrumentation, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID). Your familiarity with standard wiring practices and installation methods in both unclassified and classified areas sets you apart. You are proficient in standard personal computer skills and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.

What you'll do

As a Controls Drafter at Zeeco, you will be responsible for the design, layout, and drafting packages for combustion control systems, focusing on electrical and instrumentation design. You will participate in turnover meetings and coordinate with Controls Engineers and Project Engineers to ensure efficient schedule management of tasks. Once a customer order is confirmed, you will confirm equipment selection and design as quoted. Utilizing AutoCAD, you will develop comprehensive drafting packages that include electrical wiring designs, PLC layouts, panel layouts, and overall schematic designs. You will also create bills of materials and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. Your role will involve regular interaction with the Controls Engineering team and Project Engineers to clarify designs and schedules as needed.
