Who you are
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in managing corporate accounts and driving revenue growth. With at least 5 years of experience in a sales role, you understand the nuances of the sales cycle and are adept at prospecting new organizations. Your ability to analyze client needs and propose tailored solutions sets you apart in the competitive landscape of sales.
You excel in building and nurturing relationships with clients, ensuring that their needs are met while also driving your own sales targets. Your strategic approach to account management allows you to implement effective strategies that resonate with large enterprises. You are comfortable managing a portfolio of 20 to 40 corporate accounts, focusing on long-term contracts and recurring revenue.
Your communication skills are top-notch, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development. You are data-driven, using analytics to inform your sales strategies and decisions. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by achieving and exceeding your sales goals.
Desirable
Experience in the education technology sector or a similar field is a plus, as it gives you a deeper understanding of the market and client needs. Familiarity with CRM tools and sales analytics platforms will enhance your ability to manage your accounts effectively.
What you'll do
As a Senior Account Executive at 2U, you will own all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting new organizations to closing deals. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver annual booked revenue based on an allocated quarterly revenue target, with deal sizes ranging from $150K to $350K. You will implement a balanced approach of new business development and account management activities, focusing on establishing strong relationships with your clients.
You will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of corporate accounts, ensuring that you drive recurring revenue growth year on year. Your predominant focus will be on securing 12 to 24 month contracts, which will require you to build a robust pipeline across multiple product lines. You will collaborate closely with the wider enterprise sales team to achieve collective revenue goals, sharing insights and strategies that contribute to the overall success of the team.
Your role will also involve conducting needs analyses to understand the specific requirements of your clients, allowing you to propose suitable solutions that align with their goals. You will be expected to maintain a high outreach strategy, ensuring that you are consistently engaging with potential clients and nurturing existing relationships.
