Who you are

You have over 3 years of experience in Android app development, including a solid understanding of the Android platform and proficiency in Java and Kotlin. You are skilled in utilizing modern AI SDKs, particularly in the context of voice recognition and synthesis, to create specialized applications for vehicles. Your experience includes working with Google Automotive Services and customizing user experiences based on the unique characteristics of Android Automotive OS.

You are familiar with the latest communication technologies and architectural patterns, such as MVVM, RxJava, gRPC, and RESTful APIs. You have a strong background in developing applications that integrate with in-vehicle infotainment systems and can effectively manage user feedback to continuously improve app performance and user experience. You enjoy sharing your technical knowledge with your team and are eager to learn new technologies.

Desirable

Experience in developing vehicle infotainment systems or related services is a plus. Familiarity with AAOS or AOSP development will set you apart. You have a portfolio or GitHub contributions that showcase your work, demonstrating your ability to create impactful applications.

What you'll do

As an Android Application Engineer at 42dot, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing our AI Assistant application, which aims to minimize unnecessary interactions while driving. You will leverage LLM (Large Language Model) based voice agents to deliver essential information to drivers seamlessly. Your role will involve integrating vehicle functionalities such as climate control, windows, and seats using the AAOS Vehicle API, ensuring a smooth user experience.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop interfaces for third-party applications that utilize LLM capabilities. Your work will also include customizing the HMI to align with the unique requirements of Google Automotive Services, ensuring that our applications provide a safe and convenient driving experience. You will be involved in the entire development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, and will actively participate in code reviews and team discussions to foster a collaborative environment.
