42dot is seeking an MCU Application Engineer to design and develop control functions for high-performance vehicle systems. You'll work with various communication protocols and embedded systems in Pangyo, South Korea.
Job Description
Who you are
You have experience in embedded software development projects, particularly with vehicle communication systems like CAN, CAN FD, and LIN. Your background includes designing ISO26262-compliant software for automotive controllers, showcasing your understanding of safety-critical systems.
You possess a deep understanding of Real Time Operating Systems and MCUs, allowing you to effectively implement control logic and diagnostic functions. Your expertise extends to utilizing communication protocols such as Ethernet for inter-ECU coordination, ensuring seamless vehicle operations.
Your experience includes working with various interfaces like ADC, PWM, SPI, UART, and I2C for sensor and actuator control, demonstrating your hands-on skills in embedded systems. You are familiar with next-generation diagnostic protocols such as SOVD and DoIP, which enhances your capability to develop cloud-connected diagnostic systems.
Desirable
You have developed projects based on various real-time operating systems, whether open-source or proprietary, which adds to your versatility in embedded development. Your experience in OEM or Tier 1 environments, particularly with body, chassis, powertrain, IVI, and cluster controllers, showcases your broad expertise in automotive electronics.
You have a track record of developing motor control logic for applications like power trunks and windows, which highlights your practical skills in vehicle systems. Your knowledge of cloud integration for diagnostic systems positions you as a forward-thinking engineer in the automotive industry.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing the Vehicle Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) based on SDV architecture, ensuring that the software interfaces effectively with various vehicle components. You will design and implement control logic and diagnostic functions for MCU-based systems, contributing to the overall performance and safety of the vehicle.
You will collaborate with other ECUs using CAN, LIN, and Ethernet communication protocols, developing coordinated control functions that enhance vehicle functionality. Your work will involve utilizing ADC, PWM, SPI, UART, and I2C interfaces to control sensors and actuators, ensuring precise operation within the vehicle's systems.
Additionally, you will develop diagnostic applications based on UDS and SOVD frameworks for in-house controllers, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your contributions will play a crucial role in advancing 42dot's mission to innovate in the automotive sector.
